Holy shit, this is brilliant.

I’ve always loved David Jay, as a kind of hero. (I think if the ace community has any kind of “leader,” it’s him.) And here, he is so eloquent and honest and amazing. He gets really, really personal. 

It comforts me that even he still has trouble with how to be an asexual person in this sexual world and have love&intimacy needs met. I haven’t seen the movie (A)sexual but from this interview and a review of the movie also on the site, I just want to hug him and tell him he’ll get a happy ending (even though none of us can ever be sure of that for ourselves).

I feel like he’s spoken to so many different experiences that people have in the asexual community, in this short amount of space. Lots of “took the words right out of my mouth” moments in this interview.
